Chip is a 9 year old dude spending most of his time in front of the monitor. He’s a part-time student and a full-time slacker.Being a slacker means he has alot of leisure time. So he spends most of his time watching anime, gaming , listening to music, reading manga, surfing net looking for news and happenings. He blogs anything about anime here. Some may consider him an otaku, nerd, while others say he’s a no-lifer. Well, he wouldn’t admit that he’s one of these because he claims to be an ‘OtaCool’.

Introduction

Teppanyaki 鉄板焼き - which means frying iron plate is a Japanese cuisine. It has always been chip’s favourite cuisine. he loves it so much that he has to eat it everyday and makes it to a point that even if he’s busy, he got to at least eat it at least once a week. And thus,the name of this blog-simply a cuisine he likes most!

Terminology

Teppan for short, is a metaphor used to express doodads/expenses and damage(to the wallet that is). Because of chip’s addiction and love for teppanyaki,along with its expensive nature(because he eats it seven times a week!), his buddies and him have thus decided that ‘teppan’ is the perfect metaphor.

So those who knows him will often hear him say’Oh,I just ate teppan last night‘. That is to say he just took unnecessary damages by buying something expensive last night. Teppan can also be used to express something negative from someone. eg.’Mom fed me with teppan this morning‘. This is to say his Mom just treated him to something negative-say to get an another earful from his mom. So now that you know, it wouldn’t sound strange if he were to use this metaphor in his posts.

Heh, I know it’s corny and lame,but ..that’s how things work for him.

History

Anime Teppanyaki was first launched on the 7th of Feburary 2007.But because chip was using another hosting then, He has decided to shut it down for awhile. Now that He has decided to settle down here, he got it re-launched. So do expect more to come from here-anime related stuff that is.
